As an educationist Dr. Noureen Mirza is proficient at tailoring lesson plans to incorporate students’ diverse interests and capture their attention. She is a performance-driven and an enthusiastic teacher with a talent of integrating cooperative learning projects and class discussions both in a physical classroom setup as well as in an online learning scenario to generate independent thought, problem-solving and critical thinking skills in her students.
In addition to the above-mentioned attributes, Dr. Mirza has a solid educational foundation as she holds an MBBS degree from Jinnah Medical and Dental College Karachi as well as an MBA degree with Education Leadership as a major from PAF-KIET.
Dr. Noureen Mirza has taught at reputed schools like Beacon House School System, The City School and Alpha Education Network for more than 10 years and is currently working at Karachi Grammar School as an O and A level Biology teacher. She is a certified O level Math and O and A level Biology teacher from Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and has participated in workshops on Connecting Classrooms, An Introduction to Core Skills for Teachers and Child Protection from Partner Schools Global Network by the British Council. Besides these, she has attended various professional development training sessions from The City School and has also done E-Foundation, Physical, Social, Health, Emotional (PSHE) Online Course and Teacher’s Foundation Course from Beacon House School System along with Integrated Model of Language Skills (IMLS) and Novice Teachers Course from Teachers Development Centre.
Dr Noureen has also conducted workshops for teachers both in Beacon House School System and The City School and has also been a member of Math and Science Associations of Pakistan at Aga Khan Institute for Educational Development from 2012-2015.
